I remember BU called it an engine brace, it seems like an axle brace...whatever its called I swapped it out today. The bushing was SHOT! Weeks ago I contacted BigUnit so Preferred Chassis could make a upgraded stronger and better bushing for my spare axle brace. I believe it would help strengthen the axle a bit seeing (in theory, of course) it would allow less flexing of the housing itself. Due to time constraints they shipped mine back while they are working on a solution using the same brace that BU had. Anyways, I get it back and its for the wrong side. My fault seeing I thought they werent side specfic. Well seeing this was on tuesday, just a few days before moab, I called Zach and he came through again. Part got here today, took an hour and a half to install and I am set!
Now all I have to do is finishing packing for moab, get some more food and I am off. My concern is that one of the bolts seems frozen after I put it back on...3 of the 4 bolts would unbolt and bolt like normal and one will spin easily, it wont tighten or loosen. Luckily this happened after I installed the new one...I would normally sit there and tinker, get the bolt off see what happened and replace the bolt but avoided it seeing that its on there and I leave for moab tomorrow. Should I be concerned? I can work on it in moab if need be. All it is is changing a bolt...
