One week to go! With this recent rain (1.25" in Phoenix, about 20% of our annual total) the dust on the trail should be reduced and there should be more water in the washes

Alrock, I heard that the creek and washes are not passable right now and the forecast is for more rain and snow today through Tues. which will lead to even more runoff for the weekend as temperatures warm up to the 70's starting on Wed. In fact, it's raining pretty hard on Mt. Lemmon/Catalina mountains right now. You might want to consider postponing the run for a couple of weeks or we can monitor it day-by-day and decide on Friday, especially for those making the drive from Phoenix. Either way, there's going to be lots of water in the creek and washes.

Ugh. Well, the Forest Service has previously attempted to demonstrate that they could make this trail passable for all by controlling Mother Nature so shouldn't they step in now?

Assuming we can't get the FS to step up - should we try for the 23rd?

Lightweights........maybe the Forest Service should pave it so it could be "passable by all".

Well, we did break Bigunit's driver's side mirror on this trail and came close to tearing off his rear fender.

Yeah, right. I'm counting on you for weather reports this week and to keep me from sliding into that rock on the exit. I'm hoping that these flash flood filled washes and creeks come back to their normal levels quickly. The wash outside of my house went from 3' deep at 100' across to about 2" x 5' over the last day.

Mt. Lemmon latest weather report: Has rained for the last 3 days on Mt. Lemmon. This morning, both roads up the mountain are closed due to snow last night.

Other notes, especially since I haven/t wheeled with many of y'all.

We'll air down at the trailhead, though you are welcome to air down at the Circle K as it isn't that far from the trailhead. CBs - bring 'em if you got 'em, channel 14.

I would recommend bringing a change of clothes, warm clothes and most importantly a change of socks/shoes. Some of the more challenging areas are near water so it is possible to thoroughly soak your feet.

Bring lunch, snacks, beverages, including enough to get you through dinner in case things go long.

If the trail is not passable, we'll go as far as we can, turn around start exploring side trails. So it may not be the traditional run but we'll still have plenty of opportunity for fun.

If I can get the 35s on before Saturday I might be able to make this run. Been too busy at work and haven't had time to get the T ready. Got lots to do.

Wasn't this your excuse for "almost missing" the Laughlin trip?
