Awesome day, took my brothers JK up potato salad hill and drove Daves H1 for a good chunk of flat iron Mesa. The H1 is an awesome vehicle. Thanks again Dave!
Yesterday was Flat Iron Mesa. We ran it last year but missed doing the Chute so this year we made a point of doing that obstacle. Again, I had to get strapped up the first obstacle but this time it was due to my locker not working. (Turned out to be a fuse on my switch, non-OEM setup). Of course, Highatop got up the stuff that I couldn't!
Chris, anytime. You did a great job in the 1. Wish your own rig had been ready but maybe driving the 1 on several trails eased the frustration of not quite getting yours ready.
Today was Hell's Revenge. It was the first time for a couple of the Texas guys as well as Nick. 06 H3 took Dave's H1 up Hell's Gate, and the JKs all did the gate as well. SickstringC and Nick did Escalator as well.
Thanks Dave, being with the Blacksheep was enough to get away. Driving or not. Thanks for letting me drive, neo thanks for the hospitality, Alex for the spotting and everyone for the good times! Can't wait for next time and It was good to put faces to forum names and hangout with everyone.
We are home. This was another great trip w/ Black Sheep. It was nice to see everyone again and meet some new ones. I wanna thank everyone for their advise, spottin and good time. Steven took a lot of pics w/ his smart phone. I will try to out smart it and get some pics uploaded. I'm not very good at this tech stuff. Thanks again, long live Black Sheep
JJ and I stopped a little outside Lubbock for the night. Will get home in the morning. As always a great time with great people. Looking forward to October already.
Home safe 'n sound after an uneventful 5-1/2 hr. drive. Super fun trip for us and many thanks to Neo as usual for his hospitality and it was great for Kat and I to meet many new folks as well!
Neo, I hope your replacement transfer case goes well, hope to wheel with you in October!
Got home safe around 11 after 14 hours on the road. Just one scare with a loose starter cable where the previous owner didn't really set it up well; quick twist of a wrench and we were on our way. One more thing on the list to fix. Riding along got me dreaming again, so the truck's staying for now (and I'm probably getting a welder....).
Had a great time with the H4O crew, and a big thank you to Neo for hosting. Great people and great times all around!
Last day of pictures from Hell's will probably get processed and uploaded today. I'll upload the few videos I remembered to take as well.
We are home, trucks are unpacked, clothes in the washer, etc but I couldn't get myself to wash the Moab dust off of the truck. Great to see the old hands and meet the new guys.
Lauren's pictures from Thursday. Same deal, if you want full-res just send me the list (and which day). Thursday, April 9th Pictures (143MB, 758 pictures)
Vids from Poison Spider. Didn't get many, unfortunately.
