Blacking out lights....

Ahhh! I have some good advice for this...lol Are you blacking out the rear tail lights, front markers or side markers or all 3?

I have done the front markers a lot of times. They look great but come off from mud and muck after about a year...or when your 3 gets egged -_____-

I like the VHT nightshades as you can control the darkness. Never got a ticket so far. If I was to do it again I would VHT the tail lights and side markers and tint film my front markers.

I cracked my rear taillight and bough "altezza tail lights" on ebay or cityboy taillights according to cbetts lol

I wanna do my roof markers, front lights(not fog or headlights haha) and tail lights, do I have to scuff anything for it or do anything or is it jus a gove it a nice clean wash and start spraying?

no scuffing...Just clean and spray. I meant the front markers not headlights too. lol I would need 10 off road lights for street use if I do that.

Well I'll have to check out how many cans I'll need to do all of those.. Did u take the lights off an spray them or spray them on the 3?

Taillights are easy to take off...2 screws and they are out, I would take those off. The side markers are a PITA to take off and IMHO arent worth the time spent taking em off. I just tape off well use some newspaper and spray away. For the front markers I take the grille off, tape away and spray. Will be redoing the front markers hopefully this weekend or next.

I would say 1 can do a light coating for everything but I normally buy 2 just to be safe especially if your going to be doing a few coats.

Ya I want it pretty dark but not to crazy dark lol then my blacking out will almost be complete just mirrors door handles then rims

I did my rims in bedliner. I really like the finish and best of all bedliner is the easiest to touch up. From what I have seen, Gloss black looks good but when it chips from rockrash touching up is tough as it is noticeable that it was touched up. When I touch up a rim thats bedlined it looks as good as new, I went this route because I get rock rash a lot.

I'm trying haha I'll look more into the bed lining for rims.... I'll end up going gloss black tho, but that's along ways away, still gotta get the time to do it, but I'm more then likely gonna be doing the lights this weekend I figure it'd look better
