Lift and wheels & tires... See if we can get it all done in one day inc. the alignment. Little nervous, this baby rides sooo...nice right now! It'll be all better with some Moab dirt(dust) on it though! Rack and Sliders on the way....

SWEET! Rancho or FabTech? what wheels/ tires did you go with?
Fabtech, I know their's alot of love for Rancho here but the local shop I use(and a GOOD customer:wink:)really recommends/uses and supports Fabtech stuff so I figured I'd give it a go knowing I should have local shop support if I have "issues". Went with 18" Moto Metal MO961 Satin Black and they have talked me out of Pro Comps and into Toyo Open Contry M/T 37x12.50 I think.I though about doing the Dual(triple) shocks up front but....running out of money..LOL

You should be very happy with the Fabtech and Toyo MTs. I bought my 05 in 08 and immediatly put on the Fabtech lift, front triple shocks and 38-13.5-20 and 4.56 gears. The truck drove perfectly with everything added - just a whole lot higher!

One thing you may want to consider adding soon is the Cognito pivot and idler arm support. GM IFS front ends are notorious for idler and pivot arm failure, especially when leveraging wth oversize tires. Mine lasted about 15000 miles after the lift until failure, which I understand is pretty lucky.

Good luck with the new rig - your going to love it!

Local support is important!!!!! I could not agree more. You'll like the Toyo's on that setup. I ran Toyo's on my 07 and loved them. super stiff sidewalls, so aired down a little more than normal for on and off road. sidewalls also did well off road. ..lllooking forward to your build.

That will be a good setup. I will look I think I have a set of the HD FabTech tie rods laying around. If I can find them I will bring them to Moab for spares. If you are interested you may want to hook up with some of the Texas folks headed to Moab and caravan part way if it works out.

Thanks! When are y'all headed out? We were planning on leaving Thursday and driving to Las Vegas New Mexico and into Moab Friday.

Are you still running the stock gears and what size tires? When I went to 37's my truck struggled. So I went to 4.88 gears and have been happy as hell with them. Only thing is stock for me was 4.10's and with an 08 your ratio is 3.73. A gear change will help with it
