Met guy in Palm Springs. He is with Jeep club .http://www.dst4x4club.org/index.html. He offered me to run some trails with them. Looks like mostly older guys.

So are we interested?

Are you talking about running as just a bunch of guys out wheeling or are you asking about H4O co-sponsoring an event?

We run with Jeeps all the time. We run with HXC, or did when they used to do runs.

We have done joint runs in the past, specifically HXC. I didn't mind with HXC since I knew Seth.

I guess I need to meet these guys first before I feel comfortable doing a joint run.

Just wait one minute there sonny. I'm getting really close to being one of those older guys. I have no problem going on runs with Jeeps or any others, if they don't mind waiting for my slow arse. :beer:

One thing you must be careful of with jeepers is what kind of jeeper they are. This is one spot I do have expirence in. lol

Some are really really cool! Some are the biggest *******s around. Jeeps bring in a wide variety of people so it's very hit and miss. thats why H4O is so great. I haven't seen any major issues here, everyone is cool. A jeep forum can range from super cool H4O type people to total brand snobbing d-bags.

If they offered to wheeled with you though, from a basis without meeting them personally they sound alright. The typical jeeper wouldn't offer that to a "rival brand owner"

Excellent point - some are really cool and couldn't give a rip what vehicle you wheel. I've run into others that are complete D-Bags and cannot wait until you get hung up on an obstacle so they take video and post it on their forum. Sometimes with other brands you get into the whole class warfare thing (Hummers are for rich, spoiled boys and Jeeps are for the working man). :roll: I get that a lot at my local ORV park. The funny thing is when we get to talking, they've got way more $$ tied up in mods to their Jeep and the support vehicle and trailer they towed it in on. Oh well, Land Rover owners probably get more crap than we do. :roll:

Get enough people in any group there will be a number of douche bags. Jeepers outnumber other groups by a huge margin so it stands to reason that they will have more DB than other groups. Most of the Jeepers I have run into have been pretty cool but there have been the exceptions.

I find the same thing, i went with some toyota guys, while they did poke fun at the 3, they were pretty cool about just havin a good time.

Apparently you missed the humor in me posting that, from info I shared in the past I'm 62 years young!:shifty:
I just thought it was funny about them being "older" guys. Most people that know me would have picked on that or I would have posted up "old Guys rule" but I forgot where my t-shirt is?
They probably have enough experience to have gotten over all that crap is why they asked him.
Around here it's "run what you brung" I'm just glad to find any vehicle that wants to go.
We probably raze each other as an individual more than what you drive. We run everything from Jeeps to buggies with my H3 and some Rovers mixed in there in the same group.
If I did not run with the local Arkansas Crawlers it would be slim pickens. There are not many "official" club runs here and if there is, guests are invited.
I have been thru several Hummer forums and finally quit putting stickers on not knowing how long it would last and not having conflicting comments when they show up in pictures.

Sad but true. :sigh: I've got a stack of stickers from Hummer clubs/forums that are either pretty much defunct or no longer wheeling in my area. With the economy being what it is, other 4X4 groups are having the same issues.

I guess I'm still new here on this forum and it's just the second one I've joined. I don't know most of the people on it. Even over here in California yet and these guys get together a lot. Well you got me beat in the age department, but I'll catch up soon I just thought you were one of those 30 somethings. I like the Arkansas landscape, I passed through when I moved from Georgia to Cali, In Georgia anything was an offroad vehicle. If there was to much mud for your 2 wheel drive, you just got got out the back-up propulsion and pushed it out :beer: Then after I got my first 4x4 vehicle it was a Jeep, (Hummers weren't around) matter of fact neither where forums. LOL When the H1 came out in "92" I wanted one and it took me 10 years to get it. I'll run with anyone as long as their not an arse.

Our club is affiliated with the California Association of 4X4 Clubs. As well as support them along with the Blue Ribbon Coalition, CORVA, etc.

They seem to be cool to me.

There are few Hummers owners out there who have done a lot to dispel the myths of Hummers.

I think it would be great if the Cali H4O would become a Cal 4 Club. Or, join one. I belong to two.

Having glanced at their web site my initial impression is that they could be a cool group of folks to get to know. And who knows, maybe they know of trails we haven't yet been on.
