Factory TNR-no sound!

I bought a factory GM TNR nav radio on ebay. Part number: 15230099 which I believe is the second revision TNR. Went to the dealership today to have the passlock programmed to my VIN. Everything went fine but there is no volume. When the volume dial is turned or the volume button on the steering wheel is used they do nothing. Doesn't even show a volume bar or anything like that. I have no sound what so ever.

Any ideas? The service guy said to check the connections at the back of the radio but given how hard those things click in I would be really surprised if that was the problem.

I do have the Y91 RPO code which the service guy said if the radio wasn't compatible they wouldn't have been able to program it so that should be able to be ruled out.

Thanks in advance!

Check the underhood radio amp fuse (30A). If the fuse is good, remove the radio and check for any loose or bent connector pins.

Goodluck!

Pulled my amp, part number: 15267753 and from looking that up it is NOT a LUX amp even though I have the Y91 RPO code. Found an old thread on another site mentioning that the Y91 RPO doesn't mean you have the LUX amp, only the 9 speaker Bose system. UQ7 is the LUX amp which I don't have, I believe I have UQA.

Then I read a site which said the UQA/Y91 codes ARE the LUX amp.......omfg I don't understand why this is so difficult......

I already contacted the seller about sending the radio back even though I'm sure there's nothing wrong with it. I have no idea how much the "smart" amps go for but it would just be easier to buy a non-lux radio at this point.

Any advice let me know gents!!

I also reinstalled my regular radio and everything works fine again which leads me to believe the amp is most definitely a non lux amp which makes no sense to me with my RPO codes.
