Hey all,
Had this shuddering beast for about three years and I’m finally going to change the ignition coils this time around. New plugs at 100,000 miles didn’t calm the rough idle, nor did anything else… but it’s time to do the coils so maybe that will help. Coming up on 150K so new plugs will go with the coils, of course.
Looking at RockAuto, this looks like a $125-$250 expense. Are Walker “ThunderSpark” coils any good, or should I just jump straight to Delco? Or any other suggestions?
Since I just bought a new steering rack, both intermediate steering shafts, and will be replacing tires soon, I’m trying to stay on budget. But if cheap really is JUNK then there’s bo sense in throwing away money to try to save. Let me know what you folks are using and I’ll probably just take your word for it.
