Good morning H4O members. Just bought my first H3 and loving it so far. The ride is great and I cannot wait to take it up north Michigan to hit the back roads.

I have already installed some Polk speakers in the doors and looking forward to a new Sony 2-DIN stereo and then I will tackle the ever such an issue with replacing the Monsoon subwoofer which I have read several thread about already.

My next thing to do is to level the vehicle. Looking forward to that process very soon. I hate the way GM forward rakes their vehicles. Leveling is a must. Maybe a lift one day, but first things first.

you can just crank the torsion bars, no need for a leveling kit. it's pretty easy. have you ever been to the boundary waters? my dad went a few years ago and now I really want to do a canoe trip up there.

welcome to the forum.

So where in MI? I used to live in Rochester Hills, but at other times, Addison Twp, Macomb Twp, Rochester, Port Huron and Sterling Heights.

I've been to Boundary waters but it is in Minnesota.

Once you level, don't go over 23.5" center of hub to bottom of fender lip. More than that your ride and suspension will suffer. I you're not replacing shocks, add a 1/2" nut below the shock hoop to relocate your shock 1/2" down, better for tge shock that way. Also, a 1/2" extended bump stop will help keep your truck handling better at turns and when stopping! (But its also made of stiffer material than the stock bump stop so it will be slightly harsher on strong bumps)

Thank all for the warm welcome. I will work on the pics to pass along. The weather is getting colder here and have not had a chance to polish it up for some quick shots. I love in Harrison Township (near Mt. Clemens) Looking forward to putting some pics up though. I did level it out and it really looks great. Got an alignment immediately after and it drives nice and looks so much better.
