If I were to buy another H3 I'd limit myself to exactly what I was looking for before giving up and going with an H2. An '09 or '10 H3 Alpha w/offroad package and backup camera. As for mods, I like to keep them to a minimum (why I switched from Jeeps to Hummers in the first place). Complete de-chrome, sliders, Hunner skids, 35" Duratracs, brush guard or full bumper, eventually a winch. Maybe a tune and a performance muffler. The hard part is just finding a reasonably priced one that doesn't have ridiculously high miles.

Only two things I would of done different: 1) wish I would of gotten an Alpha & 2) that it had front & rear lockers. Other than that I would the same mods I have now.

No offense to '06 owners, but at this point I don't see any reason to buy a 3.5L H3. '07+ are easy to find and getting cheap.

well to be honest the 3.5 with some mods really isnt that bad. if you do a new exhaust and high flow intake system, it comes back to life a little bit, the only complaint i had with it was going on the freeway, we have the grapevine here which is a super steep grade, i have to keep the thing in 3rd and pretty close to floored to just go at a decent pace! any kind of grades are very noticeable.

ehh it depends, you can actually find some 2007s for pretty cheap, im the king at finding hummers, ive found some pretty good deals out there!

Agreed, I don't think there is all that much difference between the 3.5 and the 3.7. But there is a difference so may as well stick to '07+ for very little more money.

If I were to start over, I'd get an H3T Alpha luxury with the off road package (front and rear lockers) and the Nav system. Color isn't that important as long as it isn't boring birch white (BBW :mock!

The only mods that I regret are the ones that I've taken back off. The Power Steps and the 305 tires.

What I would do again is the Rigid Demon rock sliders, the Hutchinson double beadlock wheels and the cargo slide!
