I still need to do our tax returns this weekend but was thinking of getting a Rancho lift with our refund :shifty: (assuming we get one) for the front and then taking the H3T to Dwaine to do some custom fabbing to the rear instead of using the sagging Rancho rear springs - airbags may be in the T's future. Who else is "exchanging" their tax refund for mods?

If you get a refund you are paying in too much and letting the government use your money all year.
That's not a great way to set up a savings account with 0% interest. Now of course .6 or really .006 is about all a CD will make. So spend it! lol
I pay estimated taxes and got it close this year. The gut hit was when you see how much you paid in for "them" to give away and waste.
No where is that tea.........

Part of my refund went in to getting the H1 ready for moab, the remainder may go towards rebuilding the t-case

I am getting a decent return this year, but that is only because I spend 8 months travelling and was unemployed... basically getting all the taxes I paid back because I "earned" below the poverty line for 2012 haha....

That money however will only be going to the T vicariously, can't do any more major mods until this other stuff has been paid off

Sweet! That would be cool Luis.

I owe the govt money, not much but I still need to pay them. Guess I didn't pay my fair share throughout the year...

I get enough back from fed to pay state and local and school levy, not much left for mods. Does that stop me? I think not. I'm just selective and prioritize.

Shoes are on order, brush guard waiting to be bedlined, and Pcm waiting to be installed. Deciding on fabricating some sliders and then the onboard air! Surprised that I got money back this year. Nasty.jpg

Too bad that my former tax accountant is in prison for tax fraud or my return would probably be enough to fund a Rancho lift and a down payment on a Baby Scorpion. Damn laws get in the way every time.

My refund went to pay off my boat. I don't mind claiming zero on my taxes. Let them use it how they want. As long as I get enough in my check to pay my bills and afford my entertainment, then I'm happy. I like getting that big check once a year to go play with anyway. lol

Mine got spent on gas driving to Moab. Well I would have found a way to go without the refund. But while we were there my wife said I know you don't like wasting money on a vacation, but can we use our tax refund to come back next year. One of you guys must have left an impression on her. She didn't even mind the new scratches.

I usually am pretty close, as I do not like to give free loans, but I did a lot more charity last year (Good write offs!) and got a little more $$. Got to write off the travel hotel etc. for the Scott Firefighter Stair Climb in Seattle to fight Leukemia and Lymphoma.
By the way I made it to the top, 69 flights of stairs.

Mine will be enough for maybe 3 tires......that I can't buy. Apparently my fiancee thinks getting a home is more important that my building up Barney. Go figure. :hans:

Happy to say part of my return is a Rancho under the Alpha. That first ride was definitely worth over paying for the year.
