Anyone who is interested I'm looking at going in June/ July. Gotta have a knee surgery done before then, this why it's so far out. But wanted to get the word out in plenty of time!

Just shoot a reply on here of when you could go an maybe we can get something together I know of a few hummer owners here in Charleston that I have recently invited to the forum that said they would love to go on a trip.

I'm not going to say "yes" or "no" quite yet, but I'm definitely interested.

I've always wanted to go to Gulches. Haven't had a chance yet. Unfortunately I won't be back by the time you guys go.

I am most likely in just depends on work. I googled it and its only 3 1/2 hours away for me. Just wondering if this going to be a wheeling and camping thing or do we need to get a hotel? By the way you had me at BEER.

Alright guys it looks like many are going towards July or Aug now. I'm down for that. I was trying to avoid Aug due to school for some, including myself but early Aug could work. You guys just let me know what you think about early Aug or late in July.

Also I'm about 80% of the way I think in having a local dealership help me sponsor this. Still getting details but imma try and squeeze some BBQ out of them haha! Details To Come!

Aight guys so I have some really crappy news. I am gonna have to have some expensive and rather extensive surgery on my right knee and the recovery is gonna be still going on when I had originally planned the trip. So for now the trip has to be postponed, not cancelled. I'm gonna move it to sometime in the spring do keep an eye out for that!

On the plus side I ended up getting sponsorship from a local dealer here in Charleston for it. So when I do have it we are prolly gonna have a raffle for some goodies! As well as some good food!

Finally on a more positive note since I am having the surgery my girlfriend decided I can't gripe about my knee hurting. She is going to spoil me and let me create a wish list of mods and when I have surgery anything I have on that list she is gonna pay to have put on my truck, or swapped out so by the time this trip comes imma be a whole new offroader!

Damn dude, sorry to hear. I was aiming towards late June because I'm recovering from foot reconstruction surgery... seems we are keeping the orthopedic surgeons well paid. Whenever it is, looking forward to it. Wish my wife was as cool as your girlfriend... been spending the last week why I like to modify my rig... nice deal with the sponsor though. All dealers should still do Hummer outings IMO

Yeah I got lucky with her, best of luck getting the mod approved by the misses!

And hope everything turns out okay with your surgery as well! Guess this just gives us both plenty of time to heal before the trip! LOL

There's nothing preventing a group from going out and scouting these trails to get us ready for the official run!

Good luck with the surgery. Rest-up and get healthy. Looking forward to the run when you're ready!

SC_HUMMER_GUY, sorry to hear about your surgery. I hope for a speedy recovery.

For everyone else, if you're going to prerun the trail I wouldn't mind joining up just depends on the date. I am free most of May and June. Hopefully the trail is nice and wide so we don't have to worry about pinstriping and scratches
