A large portion of Mormons are actually the most judgemental and rudest people you'll meet. But there are also a lot of Mormons that are good people.

I would beat the ever loving hell out of my kid if he pulled some crap like that. Kids now days have no discipline and no fear of punishment they will receive for their actions. Most parents tend to let the media and social networks raise their kids because they are to busy or to lazy to be a parent.

I'm glad it wasn't me who stopped him. Were it me, I'd have beat the kid to death after I stopped his car.

Worst part, I bet the guy's insurance company won't fix his car but will pay the stolen-car's owner for his damages.

and lastly, if that stupid kid had the keys - it's not stolen, it's unauthorized use - maybe - but I'll bet this useless kid already has done schmidt like this before; so, again, were I the attorney for the truck owner - grandpa would be homeless because I'd sue him and his grandchildren into poverty.

That's 5 or 10 miles from me. Had it been my kids in the park and me in my H2 instead of that truck I don't think I'd have been able to stop myself from beating the driver unconscious. Of course that's after I ran into the other car hard enough to park on his windshield.

Its this "everyone is a winner" and "don't punish your kids" BS that is getting us into trouble.

We either have "parents" that are never around and the kids reach out for attention any way they can or the extreme opposite, helicopter parents that coddle their kids to the extreme opposite and then their kids never learn any life lessons because their parents do everything for them.

Most of my generation is completely screwed once they get outta school (teenagers) because of the mentality of entitlement. Fortunately/unfortunately i had to grow up quick because of events in my life and family. And i never take for granted what i have

I doubt insurance will cover this but i saw on facebook that hes getting a Fusion Bumper for free, and they are nice!

I think it was a pretty awesome move and who knows! He may have saved a kid's life.

It's just a shame that kid is only 14, so he will only go to Juvenile detention

I'm on a Corvette forum, among others, and my reaction there would have been the same as here. Some unknown person running from cops flys through a park filled with kids, then turns around and is headed back toward them. I don't care what the vehicle is or what was used to stop them, I applaud the driver that crashed into them.

Yep my little boy plays T-ball there. Chilling as you can see in some of the news videos that came out yesterday, kids were playing there yesterday. Sure enough we had a game there just last night.

I carry though. So that kid wouldn't have been stopped with my H3.

Some guys were saying how it was reckless of the truck driver etc...

But that's only a few people. I think the general consensus from the 127 forums that I'm on, is that the truck driver is a hero and he did the right thing

Hell, a few big name companies should hook him up with accessories, especially a big ass bumper, as a thank you for risking personal injury and damage to his own property to save the lives of others.
