That makes sense if the owner just returned with the H3, from over seas...

I would probably say that is a safe bet, since I believe California is a dual plate state.

Possibly, but it's a popular thing here in California to run euro plates, I've seen them on Lexus', Acura, Honda etc..

And we're not a dual plate state. Many of my friends have gotten fix it tickets for running them!

5200 (a) When two license plates are issued by the department for use upon a vehicle, they shall be attached to the vehicle for which they were issued, one in the front and the other in the rear.

Not to start an argument, but that is from the CA vehicle code.

Do any of them run Euro plates, if so, that's probably why they get tickets, because they are running a plate not registered to that vehicle......

Ohhhhh I see what you mean by dual plates. I thought you meant having the plates both visible (euro and American) but yes we do have dual plate law, have to have one on the front and back which is annoying. I don't run a front plate on my truck and haven't gotten a ticket yet knock on wood!

And my friends take off there front plate on there cars and put on a euro plate... That's how they get in trouble!
