H3 Alpha Supercharger

Downloaded both sets of instructions, one for the hummer H3 Alpha and the other for the colorado kit. There are some slight differences, the pully set up looks different, but im hoping it all bolts up the same. The Hummer kit used the supercharger with the drive shaft running down the right side of the blower with a small belt on the rear of the unit. The colorado unit has the drive shaft running through the air intake snout more on the left side. That may be why the pully set up is alittle different, but I think it will still fit fine.
Should be ordering the kit tomorrow if all goes well.

Good luck! Can you get us before and after 0-60 numbers? Its a good way to tell how much performance you gained!

Be interested in the intercooler pipe routing you end up with. I'm eventually in the market for an intercooler and playing with a couple of ideas right now on routing.

If it's like my system it would be an head exchanger setup rather then a intercooler

Yes it is a heat exchanger, it looks like it will run through just to the left of the passenger headlight. There will be 2 hoses that appear to be about 5/8 or 3/4 inch. I dont have the kit yet so im not sure. I went through hell getting the kit. At first Magnuson said they would tune it, then when I went to order the kit they said no they wont tune it.
Then they just refused to sell me the kit since I was installing it on a hummer and not a Colorado. I had to buy it through a second party.
I fully understand them not tuning it, but I told them I would have it tuned myself at a shop, and would not hold them liable if the kit did not fit or damaged anything. Oh well, I got the kit alittle cheaper and it was in stock and is on its way.

No rush, I have plenty of time. Im probably going to start the tear down this weekend, just to get a jump on it. Going to install a wideband, boost, and tranny temp gauge while im waiting for the kit to arrive.

Im trying to find out what the difference is for the water pumps between the hummer alpha 5.3 and the chevy colorado. They appear to be the same but have different part numbers, anyone know for sure? I hope its not the pully being spaced different, that could stop the install.

Its pretty much installed now, intercooler lines are run, and the pump is wired and running. I need to install a Boost gauge, and A/F ratio wideband. the tranny cooler is mounted but I need to route the lines. Then its time to dyno and get it mapped. There are a couple more pics at 355nation.

Finally finished the install up today. Just double checking things and fighting with the tight air cleaner tube to get it to fit. Still need to install gauges, but went ahead and started it up. Started right up and purred great. Let it come up to running temp ( I have a 160 temp thermostat). Runs great, and thats without the tune. I didnt get on it or anything, not until it gets a tune. Just a slow drive around the block. Cant wait until this thing is tuned. My hood project works great, I can feel the hot air blowing out the back.
No check engine light yet either. So anyone that wants a supercharger for their Alpha, go with the Magnuson Colorado kit. Fits great.
