H3 Championship Edition with a Plow!

Ok, so I have driven past this H3 a few times and decided to look at their online posting to see what they had listed... Needless to say the plow is not on it where it sits in the lot so I wasn't aware they had mounted a plow on it. I saw the grill guard and red tow hooks and was curious if it was a championship edition and it looks like it is. The dealership lists it as a manual but it clearly is an automatic... They don't know what they have.

It is not a Championship edition. CE's were only 2009 model year, had V8's not 5 cylinders, had a hood decal, an OEM brush guard, and I think the wheels were different.

That's just a 2007 with what looks like the Luxury and adventure packages that someone painted the calipers and tow rings red, put an aftermarket brush guard on, and put a snow plow on.

So, not a CE, but still looks pretty clean and is probably a good deal, especially since it has the adventure package. I'd check the frame for damage though since it has the plow on it.

Hey thanks for the information, I wasn't positive but knew that the red calipers where a sign of it. Now I know more about the CE's!

It's a 3.7 liter Adventure package H3 and about 4k overpriced. it is not a 5.3, interestingly they quote the right fuel economy (19/15 vs. 15/13 for the v8). It's not 265 tires it's 285 tires

NOTHING destroys a truck like a plow! I've ridden in several GMC 2500 work trucks with plows installed on them....used specifically for snow removal duty. Two years old...40k miles...total junk...not a tight bolt anywhere on the truck.
If you have never done it, I recommend doing a 16-hour plow shift during a blizzard. It's a lot of fun.
Just don't use your own truck!

Funny how inaccurate the sales page is from listing it with both an automatic and a five speed to the incorrect transfer case.. And I'm with 4speed - I would not buy a vehicle that was used to plow. Many, many H3s for sale out there.

Ooo a Hiniker plow. Upper end like a Fisher. Doesn't look used much. Been to Richland Center many times when living in Madison. Hilly area with lots of high end country homes. Was probably used to plow someone's half mile paved driveway . Too bad it's not a u plow. One that is hinged in the middle to be u shaped or a v plow.

I'm guessing the dealership added the plow to increase the sales value. And yes southwest Wisconsin is very hilly. This is another reason I love my H3T, I can drive to the top of the hills to get my whitetail deer no more dragging them by hand over a mile! This last year during maple syrup season I helped a friend collect his sap with the H3T. They got a tractor stuck on the hill road and it was to muddy to get it back up there. so we put the 280 gallon tote in the back of the H3T and I made my way up the hill road like it was a Sunday drive through the park.
