Thanks f5Moab I was looking for that picture! lol
There is a couple of bolts that can do with a tighten up That is all Check the steering bit and the do hickey and the thingumabob
What was involved in the spraying of the Fluid Film? I've been thinking about doing this for both my trucks. There is a shop down the road from me that offers this service for $200. I thought it was pretty steep given the price of the stuff is only $10-$20 a can.Well after doing all the UCP and tightening everything down, I still had a noise in the rear that returned. Looked under Larry's rig and noticed that his rear body mounts have a plastic/rubber disc in between the floorboard and the mount itself. Mine has a metal washer in the rear wheel well, and two metal washers, back to back under the rear bumper. I'm thinking HHHhhhmmmm.
I gave them a good spray down last night with Fluid Film. That stuff is a great lubrication film, and also an anti corrosion preventative. Works great to keep the body from being eaten alive by the salt they use on the roads here, in the winter time.
The H3 still clunked this morning, and when I went out to make deliveries, it slowly started to go away. Seems to have disappeared again, just like when it rains outside. I'm going to run my truck with just the FF on the body mounts for the next few days and see if it stays away.....only issue is that it's going to rain cats/dogs tomorrow into Thursday, so it will be hard to tell.
Just out of curiosity, does anyone else have metal washers next to the floorboards of the H3? or am I the only one?
