H3T low range ratios?

I'm having no luck finding a used H3T with the Adventure pkg at a reasonable price. The trucks with the Adventure pkg tend to have every option the dealers could hang on them, and I don't want to pay a $5K+ premium for all that just to get a rear locker.

Plan B is to buy a base H3T, which is not so hard to find, and add a rear locker and 33s. I've looked for a listing of the stock low range ratio but haven't found it...or mention of the stock rear diff type. Is it limited slip? The H3T spec sheets still out there on car sites give tons of info on the cup holders and child seat anchors; little on the drivetrain. Can't find a factory H3T brochure except on pay sites. I know the Offroad/Adventure pkg has the 4:1 low ratio. What is it in the base drivetrain? Can the low ratio be changed easily?

Adventure / Off Road Package - 4.03:1

Don't forget your not just getting a rear locker and 33's, your also getting the 4:1 transfer case, front locker and cast iron front diff.

That's good info. So the front locker was part of the pkg? Didn't know that. Do you know whether the base ratio can be changed to 4.03?

I need the to decide whether its worth swapping our very low mile 06 Adv for a 5.3 H3T that requires a lot of mods to be as versatile.

I hope the brochure shows all the drive line variations. PM sent w/email address.

The prices for the upgrades can vary significantly depending on how much work you can do for yourself vs. how much you have an installer do.

Rear locker - $600-$1200
4:1 transfer case - $1300-$2000
Cast iron front diff with locker - not sure of pricing - $1500+?

These are my best guesses with lower prices being just the hardware and the upper prices being the installed prices.

Generally it is a better deal to find an Adventure package vs. upgrading it yourself.

09-10 H3's and all H3T's with Adventure or Off Road Packages have the addition of a front locker, 06-08 are rear locker only. The ratio can be swapped but most people found it cheaper to just swap the whole transfer case.
