Just got out of the shower. Had a great day. Got a little carnage. Power steering was growling as I was pulling in to the garage. Also bumped the switch for the rack lights and melted the covers.

We got everyone off the trail safely. I think we will be acquiring some new members. FInally got to go wheeling with another manual tranny H3 (owlxxx).

Thanks to everyone that gave me feedback.

I got some pics Chris nice try but sometimes discretion is the better part of valor :)

Very true, I think the best way to describe the notch is what I said before going in, "Its stupidly tempting..." I dont consider it a successful run through an obstacle if you take out a fender, door, or window. I think small damage like a tiny scrape, or a busted taillight are acceptable to me, but everyone has their own sense of whats ok. I have 2 friends that "successfully" went through but they took out a fender and a door. Not my cup of tea...The most successful runs I have seen in the notch was the s-10 years ago and my brother in the JK, he tapped his quarter panel and left a small nick in the paint, other then that I have only seen big damage.

Had a great time. It was a pleasure meeting everyone.
I have a question, with pictures do you guys prefer the license plate numbers removed? I have some images from saturday and I don't want to post them around if having a plate number would upset someone because of privacy or security purposes.

I don't mind my plate showing. In fact I would rather it be pictured. The whole reason I went with personalized plates. But it will be only from the rear lol. No front plate on mine. I honestly don't think it will be an issue. With all the pics from trips, no one has complained about it

big props to fernando, I wasnt sure he would like the trail at first since most guys dont have chrome(I know I prejudged) but after seeing him conquer the hill and hearing him ask if he could take the tougher lines on the cb I have a feeling I will see him again.

Glad you had a great time. You did very well for your first time out. Especially following Craig through the harder sections

I'll be following Fernando soon when he learns the ropes, got my share of chrome and think I will keep it since that's the way I bought it :)

He sure did! Not only did he make it through, he did most of unassisted and he never needed a strap! He was also handicapped with the base model which lacks lockers and lower gear ratio. We still need to work on the throttle, but over all, Fernando was awesome!
