That might help, but I have a long wheelbase and 33" tires. I'm a little more ground clearance challanged than most.
I figure I'll have as much or more ground clearance if I don't air down and if I had 35" and aired down. I'm giving up soft ride for less belly dragging. Sounds like an interesting option to me. The main thing is I wanted to discuss it efore so nobody was cought off guard.:whaa:

I will be out of town this weekend, missing both my daughter's first soccer games of the season. Missing #2 next weekend won't go over too well ... so I sadly will be missing yet another Big Bear run :sigh:

My son and I are would like to join you guys on this trip. Unfortunately, we missed out on a previous trip to this trail and are looking forward to another chance at it. Just have the stock adventure 33s. From what I have read about Gold Mountain though it sounds like they should suffice? We do have rocker panel, differential, and rear shock armor in case we bottom out.

I did the last Gold Mountain trip in my H3T (long wheelbase) with 33" KM2's, Rock Basher (rock rails) and low profile shock mounts and didn't need a tow, push or winch. You should do OK, but you might scratch the skid plates.

On Cleghorn Ridge we didn't have many problems bottoming out when climbing, but did hit the pan quite a few times when coming back down. That is where I was glad that I made the investment in the skids! The bottoming out may, in part, have been the way I was driving. I also have the mall steps - will get them off this weekend. No doubt the 35s are way better if you got'em.

We took Craig's steps off part way through the Gold Mountain run. They wouldn't have survived. Sierra, if you take your nerf bars a off your truck will do fine.

If you remember, I made it past the talus rocks with the steps still on. Seth was busy playing in your truck while I was cranking wrenches. Heartbreak Ridge was an entirely different matter though!

I have it covered. I am borrowing a trailer to move all the stuff I boxed Thursday and Friday. I have a good furniture dolly with stair rollers so dragging them upstairs will be a cinch. I am hiring movers for Saturday to take care of the big and heavy stuff. Besides, moving it all myself will help me get rid of things later. I am already tired of moving all my boxes of books and will be donating quite a few to the local used book store.

cool...I get nervous if there's more than a dozen. We've all been on nightmare runs with 20+ trucks gridlocking a trail, pissing off the world. Everyone bring at least 1 tool!
