Wow! I also used to be a logger, and worked some pretty tough areas, but we at least built roads and bridges! That is crazy. I wonder how many trips those trucks are capable of making.

My father-in-law worked for a drilling company years ago that was doing a bunch of exploration drilling in Russia. From the stories he tld, these videos are pretty much just the way they do things over there. I remember one where they were flown out to some village on a helecopter. It was loaded to the roof with potatoes or something, and they had to crawl up and lay on top of the pile. It was a big chopper with wheels, and it spins up and goes rolling down a runway but can't get on the ground. Goes back and offloads some bags of potatoes and tries again. After two or three times they got it light enough and it barely got off the ground and off they went. He thought he was going to die a fiery death that day!

I won't fly in copters...and that is one copter/pilot combo I think I would avoid like the plague!!

Those are some pretty crazy videos! but like Scarsman said, the Russians seem to have that "no fear" instinct built in. There are some pretty wild Russian off road videos out there also. I like browsing the Russian Hummer club forums also, to bad I don’t understand a bit of it but I do like looking at the pictures :giggle:

Actually got to see the logging trucks in action when I went to Russia a year ago to visit family, and they have two houses(one in St. Petersberg, another one I forgot:whaa::gaah:. Pretty Crazy, but they do make those trucks hard-core:thumbs:
