HD military transitioning to IFS

Thought it was pretty interesting that Oshkosh has transitioned most of their fleet to independent suspension. Even on their Heavy line.

Blow a wheel off of a solid axle and the whole axle is worthless. Blow off an independently suspended wheel and the other side works fine.

Jeeps are going IFS as well - couldn't happen soon enough IMO

The military has been transitioning to IS for a long time... too many advantages. They aren't taking a HEMTT rock crawling anytime soon, nor do they need to. The HMMWV was a major push in that direction...

Ya but they sure as hell could. An LHS version without a load on it will literally go any where. Put it in 8x8 and it's game on!
