my tahoe had them stock, nice option but GM took them away because they couldn't get it right and vehicles burned up.

Yeah didn't some of the early H2's come with an open spot for a button where that button would have gone?

Sorry, I just don't get it. Use the anti-freeze washer fluid and it doesn't freeze.

Before anyone says it doesn't get as cold in Colorado as xxxxxxxxx; last year I recorded the transmission temp and the water temp when I started my H3 at -12 (as displayed by the ScanGauge II). The outside temp was -20 something.

Pretty much if the spray is coming up from the road it's not that cold. If it is that cold the spray isn't fluid so why run your wipers.

I dunno? Besides, the engine compartment is usually warmer than 32 degrees.

When you have a sheet of ice on your windshiled, washer fluid doesn't do ****. Those units will melt that pretty damn quick.

I would say, if you have a chipped or cracked windshield...I wouldn't run that unless you plan on replacing the windshield soon.

The heater modules are actually pieces of ****. I'm on my third one. But for the price, I'll spend $75/year to not have to scrape the windshield. I have heated wipers also, but havn't put them on. I've been debating on putting heat tape on the cowl to melt right in the center where all the damn snow builds up, and in the buckets where the wiper arms come out.

Even when its not cold as hell, heating up the washer fluid really makes it more effective cleaning bugs and guts off the glass.
