Thanks for all the welcomes! im currently looking at a getting an H3 for sure! Im driving a 1996 2500 suburban, so going to an h3 will be nice because its smaller and is like a prius compared to the milage of my suburban lol. I found a 06 h3 here local for sale, it has 116k on it so im a little weary about it, im going this weekend to look at it! What should i look out for on the H3s? Thanks all!

Look underneath on the frame. If there are no scrapes and rust and no oil leaks, then you found yourself a mall-crawler... the you are in a good shape.

Besides make sure that all belts are in good shape and that previous owner was doing all maintenance like changing fluid and stuff. And for 116K you might want to ask if he relapsed the spark plugs, If not, you might want to do it yourself when you will get it. Also drive it, and see how the steering feels. Raised H3 have a weakens with steering racks.

Welcome from "the OC"

I'd suggest you look for an 07 and newer depending on your budget. MY 07 and upwards had better warranties and some components that sometimes break when you wheel the truck, were beefier from the factory.

Good idea looking for the slightly newer trucks. This one doe snot have the rear locking diff and the 4:1 transfer case though. If you want to go off-roading and get somewhat serious about that, then I'd suggest you look for one with the "adventure" package (locker & t-case)
