First of all, welcome to forum from Tualatin, OR! Glad to have you on here. The NW group is a small, but we will be doing a couple of events this summer. If you ever want to go make a run at Brown's camp let me know, it's about 45 min. from Portland.
Before you go and order a GOBI, you should talk to Scarsman. He builds custom racks like the one I have, definitely worth a look. He is based up in the Seattle area.

Yep, I'd like that a lot, Ty for the invite. Just looking for some folks with enough patience to teach a noobie. I saw those racks a day after I ordered and paid for the Gobi. Got my OEM roof lights installed the other day. Drilling those 9mm holes in the roof made my ******* pucker, but everything went on nice and fairly easy 
. Got a brush guard ordered as well. Bigger tires'll have to wait a few more months so it's light duty noob wheeling for me.

I spent 4 years with my stock bridgestone duelers and they did pretty well. We will just have to go when it's somewhat dry. There are lots of trails up there and different ratings, we can build up to the tougher trails.
