Try and make this is short as possible. I purchased a 2008 H3 advertised as having the 3.7L. After purchase and some investigating it is a 2006 3.5 with the 3.7 engine covers on it. I am having an issue when you first crank it it misses and idles rough for about a minute or so then smooths out and runs fine. It does have the 3.7 wiring harness on it it also so i am assuming it has the 3.7 pcm. Any thoughts to lead me in the right direction. The dealer that sold it is not being much help at all.

the first and easiest thing i'd do is change spark plugs ,most likely needs changed any way

Spark plugs are a good idea. Clean the MAF sensor. Clean the throttle body. Check the stubby little rubber hose that goes from the valve cover to the air box (effectively the PCV though it's not exactly that) to make sure it's connected and holding. You didn't mention any codes so is it correct to assume none are coming up, like crankshaft position sensor or actuator? And as a first measure on every H3, check those battery connections to make sure they are tight and not corroded. You may even want to clean the fuel injectors as that made a big difference on my H3.

Might be worth trying the camshaft position solenoid. Hate throwing parts at it, but at least it's not an expensive part.

Changed plugs and camshaft solenoid after the spark plug change it cranks and idles better but I still have to let it run and warm up or it will die. I can press accelerator and hold it at about 1500 rpm’s for about 30 sec or so and you can hear it smooth out and runs fine afterwards. Code came back.
