In dash iPod mini

Hello all. I've been searching a lot and haven't come up with much. Has anyone installed a iPad mini in place of the factory nav unit ?i have a 08 sut. Any thoughts or info would be appreciated

I toyed with that idea for a little while then I tossed it since I found a stereo that has a 13.3" screen and some other good feature (also not too expensive and with a full 5 year warranty) as well the screen is removable and the stereo is still operable without the screen...as well it allowed me to install my cb radio.

I went the lazier route. I got a good deal on a Ram laptop mount that bolts to the passenger seat mounts and I simply attached a tablet to that mount. I remove the tablet whenever I need. It's on Verizon so I can get 4G service with it.

Steve #1 put a Windows-based computer in his H3 a few years ago.
