Hey betts, how do you like your solstice? I have dug that rig since they first came out. Do t know squat about them though.
It is a fun car to drive on the open road. It has some decent power and rear wheel drive. However, it scares the crap out of me on the freeway. People do not see it. I hav had a few issues with it (cat conv. keeps falling apart and plugging the muffler and I keep breaking clips for the roof flaps). but has been reliable for the most part. It is definitely not a car for trips since it doesn't hold much in the trunk.

Working on it requires small hands. The battery is buried down inside the fender. Also, not fun if you are a larger person. There is enought room for your ass and a gallon of gas . . . that is all.

Yeah, was reading up on them this morning, how's it feel on power? Everyone seems to agree on the 07+ turbo model being a really nice upgrade. I kinda figured on the space, no one in their right mind buys a roadster for road trips but as a daily commuter could be fun. I keep looking at 370Z's as well.

The turbo is a nice addition. The little EcoTech has a LOT of potential. I know person that is pushing 435HP through it after some serious mods. There are also companies that found a way to shoehorn an LS1 into it.

Jesus, that would have to be some serious upgrades, that kind of HP would start to break all kinds of stuff I'd imagine.

It definitely broke the 6-speed manual trannies, but the AR5s hold up really hell, which is why I really like having the same trans in my Hummer! They had an issue with the rear diffs blowing, but that was caused from a manufacturing problem on the housing that would leak oil around the outside of the pinion seal.
