Once upon a time..
As most of you know the best way to start of a story is with a certain phrase I often like to use, so here we go....
No S^&* there I was, I was looking for something to upgrade from my recent excursion into the 4x4 world. My YJ had fallen to the wayside in hopes of finding something new:
I personally was in search for a lime green Wrangler but my now fiance' liked H3'. I really hadn't researched too much about them so I hopped online and started doing some digging. After reading a bunch of debates about the two I figured I'd search around for one and check them out. So low and behold I came across this:
Lime Green + Hummer? Sounds like compromise to me. lol
Called them up and drove over to check it out. Turns out it had been there for a few months and they had just dropped the price. 1 owner rig from colorado. (Later found out the Original color was black) As soon as we test drove it I fell in love. It was the perfect blend of offroad capabilities plus comfort. If you don't know Jeeps are often loud and noisy to ride in. Needless to say I went ahead and picked it up. That night it was put to its first test:
I pretended that we were going to go take pictures with it and told my fiance' that she should take one on the hood. I figured she'd try to get up and then end up turning around after deciding not to to see me on a knee. Well she did better than that and hopped right up on there (No, the paint! was exactly what was going on in my mind..) lol Needless to say she said yes.
No, not because of the hummer (that was just a prop in the story) she does love me.
Anyways, it's been a part of our soon to be family since.
First thing that had to go were the 18's with 33's and take off the running boards. I really like the stock rim look but wanted something with a bit more offset to give her a wider stance. I have a set of stock rims I may put on but still havent decided. Picked these 35's up with rims for $450 so I couldn't pass it up. Like new tread, they'll get me around until I can get some KM2's. Also cranked the torsion bars to level the front and rear.
Direct sunlight makes it look yellower in pictures. Its not as dark as the Jeeps but close enough.
Then it was off to have some fun:
And Here's some good pictures with the H4O crew this past weekend:
Hope that was a more sufficient noob post for everyone.
