Lockers on an 06 base

Ok, have an 06 base model. Question is if I add air lockers front and rear would I still need the factory switches for the locked high and low ranges. Meaning would they still be functional if I have lockers engaged.

Yes, they would still be functional because they are wired separate from the lockers, since they are after market add ons. Meaning 4hi works normally and so does 4lo, they control the t-case not the front and rear axles so the air lockers wouldn't affect that

I may be wrong on this but im pretty sure that you only engage the rear locker when your in 4lo.

if you are adding a locker they will be separate from the vehicles electronic controls unless you wire it to only engage in 4 lo. My rear locker was added on and will engage in 4Hi 4Hi locked and 4Lo locked

Looking at getting an arb setup starting with the rear so I will be able to lock them independent of the factory setup. Guess my question is would I have to first engage factory t case lock than arb or can I forget about factory and se only arb. I know in some cases I would need to lock into 4 lo.

If you get aftermarket lockers you can lock the axles independent of any actions you do at the transfer case. The H3 4HI, 4HI Lock, 4 low lock only controls the transfer case; it does not control lockers. (In the factory setup with lockers you cannot activate lockers without being in 4 low, but the transfer case does not directly control the lockers.)

So, yes, get your lockers installed and wired up and you can activate them regardless of what position you've selected for the transfer case.
