nice build! I really like the look of the flat clear.

As for springs that work with the Hd bumpers and handle the extra weight: AEV, Currie, OME HD springs (in that order). I had Terraflex on my last JK and they sagged out with all the extra weight of bumpers/ rack and gear I had in there all the time.

I'm going with the AEV kit, JKS rear/ lower spring retainers, Terraflex 1/2" rear/ upper spring guides, Rock Krawler offset front/ lower control arms. I have seen/ driven with this kit and it handled way better than stock on the Hwy and in the corners. The only gripe I have about using the kit, is i cannot sell AEV. worth it though.

This is what it finally looks like after having assembled all the parts. The winch comes with a synthetic rope from the factory, but keep in the trunk for now. No more tire carrier for now. Plan to make a MFC holder in it's place. If I ever go anywhere "far", I just put the spare in the trunk. If I ever get the chance to wheeling anything hardcore, the family usually doesn't come along, so I will collapse the rear seats and strap the spare down flat.

Next step, which is not any time soon, is re-gearing and 3" lift. I'm still debating which lift. I was thinking using ARB springs, with somebody else's kit. I'm torn between Tera-Flex, Rockrawler, and Clayton. I chose ARB springs because they are the only ones I know of that actually take into account full heavy bumpers and winches like the 8274, and not some stubby bumper with an M8000 winch. I definitely will need to do more research since this is still some time away.

Hate to bring an old thread back to life but would love to hear more about what happened to this jeep!

It's still there. Just used it in my last trip overseas. It now has a TeraFlex HD hinge and spare tire mount along with the Hilift mount too. Hilift used to reside inside the vehicle at first. Had to hack of a couple of inches of the Hilift so it would fit in its parking space as well as most overseas parking structures (1.9m/75"). Don't have any pics unfortunately. Next step is to get rid of electric fan and replace with a clutch fan. That's how the diesel versions run there. Just have to check if threads match since OEM 3.8 engine has a threaded shaft just for that. Other than that, truck is pretty much going to stay as is.

No worries. Only pic I have is this:

The Duratracs are great in the snow as you can see. I did change something else on the truck. I got rid of the Smittybuilt seat covers because the stitching is so cheap and were falling apart. I now run Marathon Seat covers, like in my H3, but these are in Multicam instead of ATACS.

Hey do you know if those smittybuilt seat covers would fit an H3?

I tried and I didn't like how they fit. Paladine has them in his H3 and he likes them. Even if you get them to fit properly, I would stay away from them due to the cheap Chinese quality.
