My Side Air Bags Went Off

I was going down a dirt trail no faster than 20mph and my side air bags went off. My car has been at the dealership for a week now, and I am still waiting to talk to someone. Does anyone have any advice on how to have the dealership cover this. My H3 is still under bumper to bumper warranty, it only has 36000 miles. Any help is appreciated.

Taylor their are several threads dealing with this issue, the latest by Frumaker. Use the search function to locate them. Several people, including Fru have been successful getting GM to warranty this issue. GM almost always comes back and says they won't cover it and you will have to be forceful and take it all the way up the line to get coverage, most likely. They should and most likely will cover it but not until you have expended considerable effort on your part to coerce their cooperation.

Steve and Kyle have both gone through this relatively recently. They should be able to provide some excellent first hand advice. In talking to others that this has happened to GM generally denies this has been a problem and you are one of a very few that this has happened to. It is more widespread than they will admit. I will let those that have actually gone through the experience help you with this. By the way, it is highly likely that GM monitors the forums that their products would be represented on( H40 ) and others. They know what we know.

Yeah...but the difference is: we give a damn.

I imagine there will be a huge kegger party at GM corporate headquarters the day the last Hummer reaches 5-years or 100,000 miles. They will finally be free to "legally" deny claims.
