Neighborhood signs

The wife and I drove around our neighborhood this afternoon looking for political yard signs. Very very few were to be found. Back in '08, Obama/Biden signs were everywhere and the few McCain/Palin ones usually got stolen after a period as mine were. They were taken on Halloween nite. What a great lesson to teach your kids while taking them trick or treating.
With in a 4 block radius of our home we found a total of 3 Obummer signs and 2 for Romney/Ryan. I take this as a very good sign that people are figuring out whats going on in our nation with the current bunch in the White house. And Madison is one of the most liberal spots in the state of Wisconsin. I'm thinking of putting up a sign that states this neighborhood supports Romney/Ryan and Tommy Thompson just to see what would happen. Not in my yard but at the entrance to my hood. There is a piece of land doesn't have any homes next to it so it wouldn't look like a particular home owner put it up.
Hows it looking where you live?

None in the neighborhood! NObody is for NObody or don't want to tell. I did see several Support the NRA signs though!

It has been pretty even where I live. Where I work, I have seen about 90/10 in favor of "obama 2012" stickers on cars. As much as I wanna say something about how the change we have isnt good, I just bite my tongue. Its not worth wasting my breath. The 10% that support romney are usually in trucks that have some other stickers too, some I have seen are: NRA stickers, socialism is a great idea until you run out of other peoples money stickers, and I miss reagan stickers too lol

I avoid putting political bumper stickers on squeaky, especially in CA.

Not a whole lot of Obama signs around here.. Course, with my towns history that is not surprising. See quite a few Romney signs though.. For the last 6 months there has been a Obama has to go stand set up at various locations in town...

There's freaking signs everywhere around here. Really getting tired of the clutter along the road ways; we have alot of woodsy areas all over, who wants to see that trash blocking up the scenery---especially given that nobody is going to come back and remove it.
My wife and I were also talking about signs around the neighborhood yesterday---I could really care less who you're supporting, what's the point in putting them out in front of your house?

I live just outside of Pittsburgh and in my area is mostly Romney signs, but my office borders one of the lowest income parts of Pittsburgh (east liberty) which is pretty much all section 8 housing (the city is trying to "revitalize" and move that out of the area) and down here is plasterd with Obama signs and stickers. I guess we have to hope for a cold rainy Election Day to keep them all inside there free houses.

Lol great meeting you the other day. Sorry we didn't talk much as I was late but yea especially with your H1 your already a target

It was nice meeting you as well. and no worries I'm sure we will be at a run that we both attend in the future. I know someone in Santa Clarita with a H1 that wants to go to Rowher Flats once my truck is ready to go to off road.

Stolen from Yahoo News:
As happened in the previous three elections, when I put a Republican presidential candidate sign on my property, it's vandalized.

I've learned that a way to reduce that vandalism is to line the edges of the sign with Vaseline,
making its destruction a gooey, messy proposition. Sometimes vandals stop in mid-destruction,
and I come home in the evening to a sign someone started to destroy but then stopped because their hands became a mess.
Since I clearly am making someone very upset, I of course decided that I need far more than one sign
so I can get my point across even more clearly. I have asked for more signs, made more signs,
and gotten more from neighbors.

I am filling my yard. And lining them all with Vaseline.
