Neighbors...

We all have em, some we can't stand, some we love to death....

I have had some pretty bad experiences with neighbors on my block and this was before I started fabrication at 10 pm! lol

I have had one guy (a dad in his 40's) threatening to hang my sister (at the time 12) by her neck on his balcony. Same guy also told my brother (13 at the time) to put up his fists because he was going to beat the **** out of him....this guy is an adult. He has threatened multiple other neighbors about things and almost ran me over one time. He flips off my 10 year old sister on a regular basis (a lot recently) We haven't talked to this guy in years now. We stay clear from him and his psychotic ways, He speaks to us through expressions not words now that we dont talk, like flipping us off. I will say this topped the cake though, a few years back he rang our door bell put his head down and apologized for being a "bad boy." This guy is in his 40s and is a dad! I think something is wrong with him...

We have had other psycho neighbors but for once our new neighbors are BADASS! I AM SO THRILLED!

Tonight I was putting some new hinges on the trailer around 10:30ish and with the welding and grinding it can make some noise. With the neighbors we do associate with I tell them to let me know if I am disturbing them so I can stop but tonight the new neighbor just walks up to the garage and I know he has 2 little kids so the first thought was great...we woke up the little kids but the first words out of his mouth was is that a 110V or 220V welder? I was gonna fall over I was so shocked! We talked for a while and he owns a company that builds and fabricates movie sets. He told me he has welders, lathes, mills, etc in his shop and said he was gonna bring some welding wire cut off wheels, flapper disks and some other basic fab stuff. This guy was so cool! I am happy I have a cool new neighbor and just wanted to share my excitement.

It is great to have good neighbors. We are lucky, as we have some great neighbors.

I take one of my neighbors wheeling with me. His wie and another set of our neighbors help us out and are integral parts of our HUMMER Christmas Toy drive. So, I'm glad to hear that you have a nice, new neighbor. Bad ones can make your life miserable for many years - until one of you either moves, dies or eventually comes around (assuming they are not looney)!

There is no other time in the day...I am very respectful towards them and always give them a hand in whatever they do. Also if you do it smart it isnt too loud, grind with the garage door closed and welding isnt too loud with the garage door open for ventilation. I also have talked to them about it and they dont mind and will let me know if it becomes an issue.

I still think its better then having a 19 year old kid on your block that throws crazy parties and having tons of obnoxious teens on the streets destructing property when under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol....Im not that type of person

My neighbors to the left are a Church and my neighbors to the right are a large-home-turned-multiple-apartment-units full of welfare scammers. So I have the ultimate good and the ultimate wastes. Guess I come out balanced at "zero".

One time it got brutal with my neighbor. The daughter (18-20 years old) would continually park her Mini in front of my garage, blocking me in/out. Well, one day she parked there and was nowhere to be found. Unfortunately for her, I was driving the Hummer and had my tow strap with me. She later found her car down at the end of the alley by following the skid marks.

When we moved to Utah five years ago, we had the 300C and I'd only get a nod/wave from my neighbor. I traded the 300 a couple months later for the 3, and the day we brought it home, our neighbor was knocking on the door wanting to know if I wanted to go wheeling. He had a cute lil Jeep he called Frogger cause it was green, and I swear to God everyone in town loves that damn Jeep. We went wheeling the next day, and from then on, we became family; him and his wife loved practical jokes and we'd prank each other every chance we got. Here's a few pics of the best pranks I was able to pull on him-----

His birthday, the same day our deuce showed up , we parked his Jeep in the front yard and "decorated" it for him--this was rare as our 3 was actually in front of the strap, not in back like
every time I wheeled it!

His birthday last year, I stopped by his work and "decorated" his designated parking spot for him--

Finally, before we left Utah, he had to leave his Jeep in our garage for a night while he had his garage tore apart--Lord help him if this damn thing had to sit in the driveway overnight--
I thought it would be nice to put a protective coating on his shackles for him while I had the Jeep.

I also took the thumb drive out of his radio and loaded favorites like Barney's "I love you", which started playing as soon as he started the Jeep. He also got "In the Navy" and "Barbie Girl".

Never had much of a bad neighbor story.

I work at a friends horse ranch on my H1 from time to time but we turn off the air tools and wielding after 9pm, the sound travels a fair distance in antelope valley. I wouldn't want to be disturbed at midnight by some guy banging away on his truck unless it was an emergency.

The only other time was issues with parking commercial trucks in residential areas but I can understand that. I know the military vehicle collectors get hassled for that.
