As I was driving down the Street I saw this Wooden, Metal trimmed Ammo style Box?? at a Yard Sale. I hit the brakes pulled over and bought it for $60.00 :) If anyone knows what it was used for I would love to know. Either way it fits perfectly in the back of the Deuce. I'm gonna mod it up a little to keep all the gear in order but for now here is a few Pics of what it looks like in the back.

Looks awesome Jim! I need some sort of cargo organization and it looks like this a great thing for that.

At a quick glance I thought it read Barack on the front :emb:

Thanks guys! If anyone knows what the Military used this Ammo Box for, please let me know. I would love to know what it is.
Twin, like Net said it's a JL StealthBox. It makes a big difference ... it may not be the best Subg out there but it's very good and is completely out of the way

Doubt it was an ammo box. Probably a medical supply box. What a perfect find with a perfect fit.

alli can say is "low price!!" :)

The story the Lady told me was her Husband took her the the Auctioneers and this came up for auction. Apparently it was locked and the Auctioneers sold it as a surprise type auction ... in other words they said it could be full of Guns/anything and whatever is in there belongs to teh high bidder :whaa: So her Husband won the bidding for a staggering $556.00 :gaah:eek:nly to cut the lock and find the only thing in there was a useless part of a Gun :shame:The Wife told me she didn't talk to him for a week! :corn: She got over it and they kicked the box around there Garage for a while ... told the story a few hundred times and sold it to me for 60 bucks! :giggle:

There's a place out north of Ogden in Utah that has acres of surplus military junk and a really cool surplus store to go along with it. I've seen alot of different ammo boxes and the like, but not one this size or type. That's a really cool find.
As for the box, I'm not trying to win any contests, just looking for some better boom, and I think this 12" sub on a good amp will do just what I need. What amp are you running, and is it connected to the stock Bose, or have you upgraded that junk?
The only problem I could see running this is that far back seat is my ten year old's favorite place in the deuce, and I don't think she'd appreciate it a whole lot!
Thanks brotha----

That's ok, better late than never. Since you last posted I've been watching for the Stealthboxes and they pop up occasionally, just not cheap. I've seen a couple of gutted boxes on Flea-Bay for $100 or so. This is still on my mod list, though now the stupid Rockford Fosgate speakers I put in the front doors are crap and need replacing first--I'm thinking Alpine type R's for and 4 doors might do it, plus the far back pillars.

If i remember correctly it was used in the medvac Hmmv's... It was used to carry mass trauma wound supplies and it was either stored over head or on the floor and used as a seat... It was a easy way to keep a mass amount of supplies organized and easy to transport at a moments notice... One hell of a find!!!

the measurements that you sent to me seem a bit small, is he sure that they are correct? The H3's trunk is 41" wide and about 28 deep(for a good fit to shut the tailgate). And I was looking for something to almost take up that footprint, much like the first photo of the case in the H2(probably similar dimensions, maybe a little bigger). Can you confirm?
