Want to get an Odyssey but can't afford it? Buy from sears.

no joke. get a Die Hard Platinum series battery.

It's made by odyssey but sold by sears under the die hard name. check it out. look up that stats and how the battery looks. same side buldges and same ratings. almost $100 cheaper than the odyssey branded. I think the battery on my Crown Vic is dying and if it I plan to get one of the Die Hard Platinum batts a tad bit more expensive than Optima, but a lot less complaints and you would think there is more AGM since the cells are blocks compared to the cylinders that Optima has (the odysseys are heavier from what I have heard)

I actually just went with the duralast gold from autozone. I had some reward points there so it wasn't to expensive. They couldn't sell me on an optima and I hear mixed reviews so maybe next time ill get a optima or odyssey.

A couple years back, there were initially lots of reports of Optima's quality going south when their assembly moved south. Not sure if things have improved since then. Their older US made batteries were rock-solid.

An excellent deal on an AGM is the OReilly AGM batteries which are re-labeled Deka's.

For now I'm well into year 6 on the original OEM Delco, so I'll ride that one until it dies.

....well it seems I jinxed myself with that post^^^ The OEM died last week.

Replaced it with a Die Hard Platinum. Went with the Platinum as it was available in the OEM Group 86 and was on sale for close to the price of the Deka made AGM. Plus Sears Auto Center is only a half mile down the road from me.

have you abused the die hard battery like the ads they made for them? try freezing it or starting multiple cars at once! lol

I just replaced my second battery now on my third one..The last one was a Bosch Premium 84 month, 700 CCA and it lasted exactly 48 months..So I got half off of another one just like it..(PepBoys)

Haha, yeah I remember those commercials well! ....And in our Midwest winters I'll unfortunately be giving it the 'freezing' test here in a few short months....Brutal cold at times.
