I'm thinking about getting the Pioneer rear view camera and wanted to know if anyone install the kit? I have the Pioneer AVH-P4200 and trying to understand what will it take for the install. The kit I'm looking at is $300+ which seems to high and wanted to know if I could get an other rear veiw cam to work with my deck or to look into the OEM setup with with a new rear view mirror? One more thing what about the cams the bolt to the license plate? Would it work with me deck and could I just bolt it to the center of my bumper?

I have the Pioneer Camera fitted to my Pioneer AVIC Head Unit & works great. (In fact I have two, the original camera I moved to the front and connected through the AUX input when I changed the rear to the digital camera with parking lines etc.) My ICE guy did the install but everything needed was included for my AVIC Install. If you go to the Pioneer Website and look up your head unit it tells you what it's compatible with (or call them direct).

That said..........The Pioneer one is expensive for what you get. I bought mine 4yrs ago as part of my lease package so eases the pain but you may find the aftermarket ones are less expensive or may offer more features etc.

I got one from amazon, it was $14 shipped, works great, no need for expensive rear view cameras.
