Following up on this query, I have found - in Italy - a brand new (!) model 2009 H3T Alpha. 'Brand new' as in having no more than 10 km on the odometer, and never 'owned'.
This beautiful specimen was left in storage facility of a Swedish dealership since shipment to Europe in 2009, and was recently rediscovered. It is the US-built version. The asking price is 39,000 EUR. An awful lot, but considering its PERFECT state, I'd be interested if the price would go down a few k.
For comparison, I note that 39 kEUR is nearly the price of a 2014 5.7 Dodge RAM here in Europe.

I am pretty much aware that such a price tag would be considered outrageous in the US/Canada, but - hey - this is Europe and different tax policies...

Would I be crazy to shop?

well, I got the key information from GM (see extract below), but no names of option packages.
It has a rear camera, a trailer hitch, chrome here and there, alarm and Bose audio, but no leather seats for example...
However, I do have pictures...

What was the original European "sticker" price for the truck in 09/10? If you'd be buying for investment, you would have to vow to only drive it a few miles per year or any premium you pay for the newness is erased. The difference in value between a collector car with a few km or miles and one with even a few thousand is substantial. While H3T prices are quite high, it will be several years before we know if they'll appreciate strongly as collectibles. IMO, they will because its styling is unique and admired ans so few were made.

The truck was built for the Arabian market; that may affect collectibility. Is it road legal for Europe? It could cost a fortune to install US safety and emissions systems if it were brought back to the US.

Original sticker price was around 57k EUR. The seller 'offers' a 30% 'discount' but is willing to discuss below that as well. I was hoping to get it for around 30k. And yes the car has been approved by Italian authorities, 'homologation' as they call it here. I'll not be buying just to collect however. I need a truck, not a 'trophy' ;-)

Thanks for all the feedback on this thread. Finalized the deal, flew into Calgary late Monday, drove back across the border and into my native Idaho on Tuesday, and using my new rig for work on Wednesday. My initial impressions are great -- the H3T exceeded my expectations. It's a pleasure to drive on the highway, and best thing I've ever driven on the mining/logging roads. Sorry about the lack of pix -- tried to upload pix a couple times and a couple different ways, and failed each one.

I bought my black 09 h3t alpha adventure with leather and sunroof and nav with 32000 miles 2 years ago for $32000. So congratulations!
