Don't "Hot-Dog" it off road, go with other H40 members, follow their spotting and you should be fine when off-roading. H40 members will warn you if there is chance of damage to your truck, and it seems like there is usually bypasses for the harder/est obstacles.

Thats true, go wheeling with other people that know what there doing, i bet you if i was with other h40 members i would not have been showing off or driving recklessly like i was.

We all learn this lesson young in life. I went through a lot money on my car back in my twenties from driving too hard. Once I figured out that I could not afford that, I mellowed out.

Glad you and you passenger are alright. in the end it's just a car and is replaceable. Health is not.
Well, in any way a great lesson for you. No "show of" is worth the consequences. Hope you will respect and take care of your next ride.
But don't be scared or discouraged about it. We all where young and did stupid things. I had a 240sx in my early 20s and i was racing and drifting it all the time to show of. I had at least 1 accident a month. Spend about 10 times more on the repairs then what the car actually worth.

yea i already drive differently, people have noticed. im now a stick to the speed limit and drive well within the cars limits. and when i feel like getting it out of my system i found a giant parking lot with no poles or walls or anything to hit except the floor board with the skinny pedal!

The Crown Vic club I am part of wants to do another El Mirage Dry Lake Bed meet. This time over a weekend probably camping. at least 5 miles of straight smooth dry lake bed with no speed limits. You should come. it was a blast when I went last time.

There's a video of my 2004 Crown Vic. the beginning I am cruising slow because we are near camp sites. then I speed up and hit governed top speed of 110 MPH in my Vic and run at that speed for the length of the lake. it's quite fun, and helps keep the urges away from puttin the pedal to the metal.

It's safe too if you follow the proper guidelines. we had 12 of us doing high speed runs as a group which wasn't the smartest idea but nothing happened. We do driver's meetings before our events too.
