I got a 09 H3 Base model ( don't have audio steering controls, no SAT radio and no OnStar). I'm trying to install a 2015 Pioneer 4100NEX

I looked at the wiring harness that I need and i got the harness with sing connector, also it comes with a loos red wire

When I was wiring to the Pioneer radio all of the wires were color matched except of few wires. On GM connector (on the picture) I got only "Orange" (illumination) wire left. On the radio side, I got Green (this goes on the brake switch), yellow/black (mute).

When i took the factory radio out, I found that beside this connector, there is another one with 4 wires. What is this connector for?
So, I connected the large connector the main harness and the damn radio is not working. Am I missing something? Also, what is that loos red wire that was in the kit? Do I have to get the different wiring with 2 connectors and OnStar bypass???

If anyone is familiar with this wiring and can shed some light on it, I would be appresiated

The Hummer OEM Radio communicates with the cars computer when the Radio is switched to the on position. If the computer tells the radio that the car is running or at least turned to the acc key position, the radio will come on. The only power that comes to the radio is on an orange wire that has 12 volts on it all the time. The red wire in your kit is to hook to the red switched wire from your after market Radio plug and go to the fuse box under the hood to find a switched 12 volts when the car is on. A GMOS-01 kit will interface and read the cars signal and provide you with a red switched 12 volt wire for you Pioneer radio.
