H3 Rearview mirror thermometer

I searched various key terms and came up with nothing.


I have a 2007 H3, when I wash it the thermometer that reads the outside temperature reads cooler, 10º or more and then returns to normal when everything is good and dry again. I think the sensor is getting wet. So the question. Where is the sensor located so that I may try to solve the problem?

If anyone has had this problem and rectified it, by all means please post.

Sensor is located in the front. It is normal with the temp of the water. I've run through creeks and had it showing 30 degrees below what it is outside. After awhile it returns to current outside temp

I believe the sensor is located in front of the radiator on the center vertical support

I get the same thing when I spray the radiator while cleaning the truck. Once it dries everything goes back to normal.
