Hey AM! Long time. RC is hardly in my area!

Rausch is a cool place but the "membership card" thing sucks...not sure who dreamed up that scam. I see the point for frequent visitors but, they should also offer a one-time rate for us out-of-staters. Instead I had to buy a 1-year membership just to get the card, then spend a day wheelin, and of course...it will expire before I return. Also...somebody needs to tell the trail maintenance team to quit cutting sapplings off 4" above the ground at a 45-degree angle. Don't get that one either...like a bunch of tire spikes all over the place.

Agreed, looks like a ton of fun. Thanks for posting. In the past, we used to always try and wheel there during the week. Of the 4 or 5 times I've been there, I think I've only seen less than a dozen other rigs, not counting 4 wheelers.

Have any of the trails been "widened" that you can tell? Last time up, I took the Red SUT, and I spent more time doing 27 point turns because the trails/trees were just too narrow for the turning radius of the H2. I can't imagine trying to take a H1 there. I'm a little more cautious with the new H2 Wagon. I love to wheel it, but I'm not scraping the paint off of this one if I can avoid it.

This is my first time there and i would venture to say that no they havent been widened, i have no idea how you took an h2 in there, i was barely getting by in the h3 lol

Actually they have been widened. That said, they are still narrow. Unless you stick strictly to the power lines and maybe the easy section of trail 1, you will scratch up an H2. No way around it.

EDIT: And trail 25 as well, though it's pretty lame aside from the crossovers through the ravine.

We found the mysterious trail #2...(not on the map or the list of trails). It was downright crazy. It took us an hour to go 1/4 mile, and blood pressures were running high the entire time. We stopped at the end of it and gave each other at-a-boys but it was really just an excuse to calm down and un-clinch the glutes. Its was some of the most technical stuff I've done in awhile, and in many places there was no "Plan B". That is...you either got it right, or you were upside down.

I actually like tight trails and we did okay but, if you were to go out there after a rain...I think it would be difficult to avoid body damage. CG's rocky-roads saved his door panel once and his camp awning another time. The trails are as tight up & down as it is left & right. CG high-centered once because the peaks of the hills were so drastic. UCP saved him...not a problem.

I would do it all again, especially trail 2. And as 4 speed said, if that place was muddy, it would be rather difficult to not end up against a tree. I did end up scraping my awning some, but nothing big. Ill def be going back there again, soon hopefully

Hmm I kinda remember a trail that wasn't marked in the map. It was muddy when 08 and I went and we didn't get very far before turning back ImageUploadedByTapatalk1346433032.332872.jpg
I believe this was from this "unmarked" trail

That was actually Trail 26. It was marked, but wasn't on the map. I'd still like to see where that ended up. I'm sure we could have made it dry. The place was pretty sloppy when we were there-- day after the Henryville tornado and all the rain that came with it.
