Satellite radio antenna taken apart (pics)

Okay soo for many years now, ive always wondered what was inside these tiny little black magnetic antennas for sat radio. So i got one and took it apart heres the pics. And yes this is what i do with my spare time. Lol

Looks like a folded dipole or loop antenna on a PCB, probably with some amplification circuitry

Interesting how the metal housing is soldered to the coax shield. I bet that is done to keep whatever is inside the housing free of RF.

You're as bad as I am. I got the faulty roll over sensor back from the dealership for the express purpose of dissecting it.... I'll post up pictures :)
