so my seat warmer wont turn on, all the seats still work except for the drivers seat. sometimes it wont turn on at all and i cant turn it on or it will turn on without being able to be turned off, the former occurring more often than not.

if anyone has experienced the same or similar situation please help, the winter is coming around and i'd like to endure it with a cozy seat

Suck it up Marine you don't need warm seats! J/K.... Sounds like the switch is stuck. Try spraying it from inside the door panel with electrical motor cleaner. If that doesn't work try a new switch.

Common problem, mine has been out for a couple years. I've been meaning to dive into the seat to figure out the problem, but I don't really need it in Florida, so it's low on the list.

Seat warmers...I don't need no stinkin' seat warmers! [emoji12]

You're obviously not from Indiana! I can deal with chewed up diffs and trashed T-Cases, but the day my seat heaters stop working is the day I start shopping for a new ride! :)

I'm pretty sure it's the switch too, unless it turns on and off only when you sit on the seat itself, then it might be the the heating coil itself, but I hope not.

i feel like it has to do with the wiring and is an easy fix, but i dont know how to take apart the door and really see what the issue is... maybe this is where the dealership takes over

although i think i could easly do this, i'm worried about breaking those white clips it mentions
You most likely will break at least one clip. But the good thing about doing it yourself is that you know it's broken, so you can replace it. The stealership won't even replace it or tell you. I had 4 broken from taking it to the stealership and would have never known if I didn't try to remove it myself after being fed up with the stealership's BS.

I know in other GM products it's the heating element in the seat that breaks over time, so if the switch turns out to not be the issue then I would put some time into looking into that issue

If you get a panel popper, you will most likely not break the clips, they are not expensive and they are worth the investment. I believe the door is 2 screws for the inside door handle plate, as soon as that comes off its one or two more screws, then pop out the door locking switch, and now the clips holding the panel. Good luck brother.
