I'm in the same boat with my passengers.. :(

Font's point is definately out, I checked out Calcite mine, and we will have no problems on the first 3/4 of the trail, the last 1/4 is off camber and switch backs but there's 2 spots which will give enough room for all of us to park and turn around. We'll have to see how many trucks we get showing up, if it's a big group, then we may need to split up.

I'm wondering how busy it will be out there this weekend since the weather is cooler...

Which trail down there has the ledges to climb? Anyone touch base with Seth to see if he can get away for this one?

Rick Roberts just contacted me, he said he had 10+ H1's up there at one point on Calcite mine with plenty of room to turn around at top so there's no need for me to run out at the ass crack of dawn, I'll just sleep in a bit at the motel and have breakfast..

I seem to remember someone got stuck on the log crossing and needed to be strapped . . .

Would it be this one? :shame:

I updated the attendee list.

I'm planning on driving up from Burbank tomorrow evening at 9pm after rush hour and staying at the Borrego Springs Resort SE of the Traffic Circle area.

Could Confirmed folks PM me their cel phone number in case you aren't here when we start the run. I want to wait for everyone to show up and wouldn't want to leave folks to try to find us on the run.

My contact anywhere via email:

881651448595@msg.irdium.com emails sent there will get forwarded via txt message to my satellite phone in the truck in case you get lost and need help anywhere on the way.

It looks like we'll have a decent turn out, I talked and texted to many folks on the attendee list. I'll be driving out tonight from Burbank and will be staying at the Borrego Springs Resort near the golf course. If you go through price line rooms there are around $99.

One small change of plans,

It looks like I'll need to return to LA Saturday night, I have some work I have to get done on Sunday before I leave for the holidays next week.

I think the majority of people were planning to only take a day trip, I think I was the only one staying for Saturday night, if this screws someone up, please let me know!

Looks like theres going to be a Lunar eclipse at dawn tomorrow morning!

Got here about 2:30. Just been relaxing with a soak in the jacuzzi and some pool play with my son. We are still staying the weekend with a trail run up coyote creek sunday morning before we leave if anyone is around and wants to join.

Where are you staying? Borrego springs or Palm Springs resort?

I should be pulling in to Borrego Springs Resort around 1AM.

Look east should see hornets at the bombing range that's why I'm not out with you guys. Hope it's a good run. Trying to work a low level for that area you guys will know if I get it!

Awesome day out here. Weather in the 70's. So far calcite mine was an interesting site and a fun short trail. Over at truck haven we conquered some obstacles and repaired a snapped half shaft mechmike had in an hour. More to come. What time on the hornets? Did not hear or see you :-(

Cool, looking forward to hearing about it. We did the Village of Hope Mission event today. Maybe 25-30 Hummers, mostly H1s hauling toys and needed food and supplies to the Mission. Great and very heart warming day. Big thanks to Mike Sabbarese, Tustin Hummer, Mark Parkinson and my fellow H1 PsychoSquad buddies for making this a great day for both us and some very needy and appreciate people.

I made it home by 10:40 PM last night and fell asleep while my computer was waking up.

It was a good trip. Lots of fun and good company. It was great to see people I hadn’t seen in a long time. Only one failure, a H3T half shaft.
