SoCal Event - Cleghorn Ridge / 2N17X - November 25, 2011

Finally packed up and ready to go. Meeting Serge at 7 am for the drive up. Looking forward to getting out and seeing everyone

I went up there today I was hoping to see you guys on the trail. I either was ahead of or behind you. I stopped a few times to see if any of you would catch up if you were behind but never happened. I saw the post this morning. I saw some jeeps and quite a few dirt bike riders on the trail.

My first time up there. Some of them get pretty steep and rutted out. One of the trails near the end was nice. Got the truck on 2 wheels teetering from some deep ruts that was a great feeling. I have not had the wheels that far off the ground in the H1 before. Rockers took a beating a couple times down that trail. It was a skinny trail at times think the bushes gave me a new paint job. But I had a great time. I was on a time schedule so didn't make it to the other side of the lake for 2N33 or 2N17X.

Maybe next time we will meet.

Just got home. Not like gold mountain but got off the trail later than expected. 2n17x has changed a lot since we last ran it. Had a great day wheeling and want to thank everyone that went. I will post up pictures tomorrow

Next time post up about going, most of us check the forum in the morning and at the trailhead before heading out if we have service to check for latecomers

I wanna go again!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I seriously had the best time ever!!! Sorry I couldnt fit in 2n17x but the first half I absolutely loved doing I had a smile from ear to ear the whole time :) thank you for everyone who helped out an made my first trip so amazing, an cant wait to see you all next trip:)

It is probably better you didn't do 2N17X. It was much more challenging than Cleghorn and there were only a couple bypasses. We finished the end of the trail in total darkness and most of us were light challenged. Serge couldn't use that excuse though. Serge got the pucker factor award for the day (although he won't admit it).
