Well it got cold in Florida so I have a few low tires. Just picked up a slime heavy duty tire inflator to test out so we'll see what happens. This leads me to asking...

What do you guys run your tire pressure at on road? Does it depend on the tire or do you go by the standard 35 psi that GM suggests? FWIW I'm running 33 inch Cepek Crushers.

I run 40 in 315 Cooper STT to get max tire patch and good even wear. It's a bit firm at times on the lumpy roads I live on but I was also hoping to increase mileage a bit on long road trips. I don't get tps warnings with mild fluctuations in temps like I did with 38, oh wait I don't have any, anymore. Well I didn't.

It's finished inflating the tires. 40 in front 38 in back. Do the fine tuning later. However, I still have the warning, so I'm assuming this means I have a tpms sensor out?

On a side note, this slime compressor is freaking awesome!!!

I run 42-43 on my 33" Duratracs for even wear in the winter as I can go from freezing on the way to work and mid 60's on the way home. In the summer I'll use 41psi. Being full-time 4wd, both ends pull unlike fwd or rwd having the drive wheels push or pull the vehicle around, so I think you should keep pressure even front and back.

Try the TPMS relearn before deciding on a bad sensor.

and if you do the relearn and it still seems like it isnt working, drive around the block for a few minutes and it should turn off.

IIRC you damaged one of your crushers and rotated the spare in. You have a 2007 and they stopped putting sensors in the spares mid year, does yours have a sensor? If so, was it programmed in after rotating it in? If not, it would still be reading the spare and not the one on the ground.

It was 29 degrees when I woke up last wednesday morning. I'd qualify that as cold, especially for us thin skinned floridians. I am running my Goodyears at 38 psi.

That's correct but I would think that the the low tire warming would have happened much sooner. That was months ago. I'll post a review of the tire pump later today. It was 55 at Wally World and worth it!
