Photos of Day 2

First,
Dave took us on a walk to show us some of the area and some history of the waterfall and the mining:

We came to an edge where you saw the water comming through the mountain: Dave tells us about how this happened later

IMG_5174.jpg

Once we got to the other end where the water came in Dave told us about the history: ( after the pictures i will tell the story )

The History of the Cave
The water fall used to go around the mountain. When the miners came they kept minning and minning. I dont remember what they where minning for but once they hit the spot a ton of water came gushing in. That is how the water came through the cave.

Post 12:
First we took some easy trails that went through rivers. Then we went on to climb the mountain side that would lead to going down spring creek( though we turned around at the top because it was getting late.

We pulled over to check out a river and decided to continue on the trail.

I then rode with Dave across the Rivers to get some pictures of the rest of the group:

We then came across the deepest river to cross that the H1's bottomed out even with a 2" suspension upgrade:

Then Major Tom took his H3 through it and got stuck on top of the boulder:

Major Tom hung up on the boulder:

So then we got the tow strap and I pulled him out:

Then Major Tom just put his right tires over it:

My 98 looks like that open top minus the hood scoop. Love that truck. Mike from Tustin Hummer is going out to the THCI Moab event to provide mechanical/tech support for the event. They will be in good hands with Mike.

I would like to make the THCI event in Moab one year but they always have it so close to one of the Black Sheep events. Forced to make a choice it will be H40 and the Black Sheep every time.
