I just did my first one, and I went with Mobil 1 synthetic and Filter.. They had a good deal on the 5qt jug. Got a free 12.00 filter and just had to buy the 6th quart.

Mobile 1 syn since the day I got the T 2 & 1/2 years ago. It holds up well in the AZ heat.

Just purchased whatever Dino D#ck oil is on sale for the spring/summer and use that with a cheap filter.

Mobil 1 Synthetic with a farm TG9837 filter on the I5, oil still looks yellow at 5,000 miles.

Yeah the Fram is a good filter.. I would have went with it, but heck, they threw in a Mobil 1 filter in for free.. Whats a fella to do..

I use Mobil 1 now.. But what's with the hatred of the K&N filters, I see many of y'all don't use it.

Haven't seen any hate for the K&N oil filter?? I use it in my truck and have had no issues. I know a few who won't use the air filter because it has oil on it that could get into the intake.

I like the K&N oil filters. I use them in all my vehicles. The low end Fram filters are the ones to stay away from.

Hah! It only runs all over the place when the wind suddenly kicks up when I'm doing my oil change. Otherwise, it's not an issue. I have more trouble getting a face full of dirt when I remove the skid plates, but cleaning them up is part of my routine.

Used to run Valvoline DuraBlend (a blend of dino and synthetic) but have gone to Mobil 1 every 5000 miles. Truck seems to like it. Also do a tire rotation at each oil change.

But if you don't over oil it then you shouldn't have a problem. I know I have heard of a few guys on here that won't ever run them for one reason or another. I love mine!

And I too ran durablend on one round just to not shock the engine as much I guess.. Been running Mobil 1 ever since and the truck loves it!
