from center of hubs to bottom of stock fender flare. 23.25 is where I ran mine. some go higher, but I feel this is a safe height.

you may find brake dive also. If you do, just upgrade your bumpstops to the longer ones. bilstein shcks help too.

I measured from the floor up to the bottom of the fender well edge with a broom stick..made sure both sides were the same height..then cranked on both TB keys 4 full turns..it raised my front end about 1.5"..that looked good enough for me, so that it didn't have the stink bug look and the ride was about the same.

Yeah, I have yet to do mine still.. My driver side was about a half an inch lower than the passenger side.. I evened it out, but still have not raised it.. If I do raise it to the 23.35 or whatever, it wont affect my warranty if any front end stuff messes up will it? If so, I will keep the raked look till my warranty runs out...

No warranty issues with mine. That's after 3 crossmembers & a steering rack, all covered under warranty - post-T-bar crank to 23.5", with after-market Bilstein shocks, TD bumpstops & 35" KM2s on non-OEM 17x9" rims with lots of undercarriage scrapes, rainbowed UCP & gas tank skids & a non-factory installed cast-iron front diff w/Eaton locker. Have to say, I'm lucky that my dealer understands that these rigs do go offroad every now & then...

Not to worry..my dealer said nothing of the sort about it affecting warranty..it will affect your toe-in a little, so that is why you need to have a 4-wheel alignment done after you adjust them..the max you should turn them I heard should be no more than 7 turns from the factory setting..I'm not a 100% sure about this though...But I'm sure a resident expert here will clarify this.

Cranking it too high may affect the warranty on affected components - as Bigunit pointed out his dealer did not raise a fuss but when mine was at 24" (too high) they did raise a fuss and I paid for my steering rack replacement. 23.25" doesn't seem to raise a red flag and does not seem to cause the accelerated wear and tear on the components that you may get at 24".

Thanks guys I know I've seen threads about this before but I couldn't remember the measurements, I just wante to double check since I woulnt be their when my guy does it. Is the extended bump stops a must have because I haven't ordered them yet .... I'll post up some before and after pics on Monday when I pick it up

The bump stops are not a "must have" item after you've raised the T-bars. People add them to reduce the front-end nose dive that's felt mostly when hitting the brakes hard & coming to a quick stop. Some people seem to notice it more than others. I was one of those who didn't notice or care about the nose dive because it didn't seem too significant to me after I raised the front end. I had purchased the 1/2" TD bumpstops when I got the Bilsteins but I waited almost 2 years after cranking the T-bars to install them on the T. The only reason I did, was because they were sitting in my garage for so long and I wanted to see how difficult or easy they were to remove and replace and Alrock was in town & he'd removed and replaced them before on his rig & he showed me how easy it is to do.

Mine were at 24" as well and I grenaded a u-joint - it was a fight to get it replaced. Do NOT go over 23.25" hub to fender.

No, that's with the tires on & the vehicle on the ground. Here is info from Alrock's original leveling/TB crank thread.

How high?
We measure from the center of the wheel vs. the ground as irregularities in the ground or tire pressure should not be noticed when measuring from the center of the wheel vs. measuring from the ground. Over 24" for many is considered to be a bit extreme for the angles it creates with your tie rods and CV joints, possibly leading to premature failure. This picture demonstrates the two measurement points. This insanely good looking truck is leveled to 24"

looks much better with the beefy tires and cranked t-bars.

I love the look of H3's with beefy tires.

Thanks, i agree the stock 265s just don't look right. tires and brush guard were my first must have mods I just wish now I would have went with 315s instead of 285s

Keys make your wallet $100 lighter. Cranking the torsion bars does put more load onto the bars but not an undo amount. No one's had issues with torsion bar cranks and any types of failures. Perhaps if you were to crank the full 3" that the torsion bar keys advertise you might want the keys but as you can see from this thread you really don't want to go to that height.

I'll just be happy where mine sits for now. It's at 23 1/2 but no where near level. As long as you guys don't make fun of me if we go out on a trail. :shame:

I'm saving for a lift now and I have some jeep friends who've volunteered to help with the install (save a butt load of money)

Just curious but why don't you measure from a point on the frame to the ground? Fenders and the likes aren't always at the most tight of tolerance and in the end the frame's relation to the ground is what you need to establish.

Unless you have had a major front end accident and poor body work your fenders wouln't be far enough uneven to make a difference
